Hi

Trying to set up Xtraview in a situation where the cable run between the decoders will need to be at least 50m as the house owner does not want holes drilled to run the cable through. Is anyone aware of a readily available amplifier which will boost the heartbeat signal? I believe it's a 7MHZ digital signal with no DC voltage on the output.

I'd like to know the technical specs on that heartbeat signal, whether it's 1-way or two-way, etc... Then you could make the stretch as long as you need - even send it over TCP/IP...

You don't need an amp. At 7MHz, that signal will travel a lot further than 50m on RG6 cable...

I love it when old threads don't close. I will be in a similar situation when I buy my HD PVR. I got a SD PVR in the lounge and want a HD in my room, will get info up until the time I DO get the HD.
