Is Vodacom not embarrassed taking money for a service that doesn't work? Tried to cancel it as per their site FAQ's and guess what? The sms failed to go through. Something has to be done about these networks that syphon money of users and do not deliver on their services!

You are seriously surprised?

Entire corporations are built and survive on these business models.
They all learn from the masters of taking our money and not providing services.... it's the African Nation Party way!

The consumers seriously need to take action against these thieving institutions. This sort of behaviour is not tolerated by consumers in the US and Europe.

I agree but how?

It would cost a fortune to litigate and Vodascum have the depth of pockets to drag this through the courts for years....

You right, and that way only the lawyers would benefit. What about using social media. Look what happened to Momentum recently. Call people to boycott institutions that take advantage of the consumers. That's the only forum I can think of that could work. I think people are starting to become really agitated with the big institutions taking advantage of them.

Social Media platforms have become a lot more powerful lately for taking a stand. Spread the 'word' as it were. Warn people to check their bills/accounts. Vodacom have been stealing millions if not billions from people with WASP and VAS. I personally have lost thousands each year to Vodacom because I didn't check my bills each month and question deductions.

The public needs to be made aware!
