Got the Samsung Q9 42" at the Samsung RRP of R15,999.00.

Credit card is still smoking from the transaction but I must say any pain fades away to a distant memory as I enjoy BBC'c Planet Earth with the dulcet tones of Richard Attenborough coming through the speakers

An update on the Game price guarentee: I just got off the line with Game head office in Durban and they said that they will honour to beat the price even though its Dion.

Game will match any advertised price and then discount 10% of the difference between their original price and the advertised one to be precise. My dad bought a treadmill from them and thats how it worked. BTW Forza 2 has been for sale on Makros shelves since Monday...

Yeah...u must try the 720p versions of Planet Earth if you haven't already. It's really awesome and can bring the best out of your display.

Price? Saw it at R499 today at Incredible Corruption. I woulda bought it, but I ordered it from BT Games this morning for R475 (subject to me paying by close of business). I paid by 4.55 - hope it goes through in time!

BT actually had 3 prices for the std one yesterday on the website. One on the frontpage (main picture), just below that under 'just released" another price and when you click on that link, yet another price on the resulting page

I will be trying to get Game to do a price discount on the strenght of the Dion online advert thingy this weekend.

In all honesty if they stick to what they say (10% below the best price) and dont tell me to bugger off cos Dion have no stock then I am looking at a new Xbox for R2800.00 which in all honesty is in the region of what i paid for my PS2 back in the day (i think )..

If all works out I will post on Monday (if I am able to tear myself away from GoW and come to work) and it would be an awesome deal IMHO
