I was with Mweb uncapped for a while. Wasnt long till I moved to Afrihost. I have been with Afrihost for a long time however recently I have been looking at other ISP.

Cybersmart seem to have my attention.

Any opinions on them? Any other ISP you can highly recommend?

I will want a 2mb uncapped adsl account.

Well you need to post your requirements.

Will you be using it during the day?
What's your budget?

I'd say get an Axxess Business account.

Sorry.

For home use. I also play a lot of online shooters.

Currently paying R297 to Afrihost.

Try cybersmart R383 for 50Gb and 1000Gb at night. If you don't do heavy downloads during the day they awesum. There nothing wrong with there data, but there support wasn't always perfect:whistle:. And there CEO the only person i know who phones there clients. And who is honest about his product.

I was in the same boat as you. I moved to the 2MB Business account and I don't see any other ISPs offering the same performance, IPC issues aside, including TI back when they were great.

Gaming-wise Openweb and MWEB will mostly have better pings than all the rest, but I play Hawken frequently and the PS3 sees GTA Online being played every day. Unotelly and Netflix performance is also pretty good, when capacity issues don't flare up. Those should be fixed up by the 10th, if Telkom holds up their end of the bargain.

If you're interested in Cybersmart, I would test them out.

Here are a few 100GB capped accounts (try them out to see which ones still have data): http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/607962-Cybersmart-ISP

1. Those are capped therefore will perform better than home uncapped but like business uncapped
2. Test your gaming performance online

Edit: You can check how much data is still available by entering the username & password here: https://www.cybersmart.co.za/usage.cgi - seems they all have data left.

I'm on Web Africa, very happy with their performance.
