looking for 19V 2.6A AC Adapter (50w)

Hi Guys.

I'm trying to find a 19v 2.6A AC Adapter for a CMV LCD I have. If any of you have something spare like this or know where I can find one please let me know. I tried Zakspeed but they charging R650 for it.

Thanks ... but I need a 50W. I think the Universal Laptop Power Adapter you listed would've worked, but at 70W it means at 19V it outputs 3.6 amps ... and the screen is 2.6A. Won't it cook it?
 
the most important is the pin, if it isnt suitable, meanless to discuss for the watt or A.

It comes with a few pins ... universal ones. So I'm sure it'll fit ... if not, then that really sucks :p ... but I'm worried about cooking it ... any ideas if it will or won't cook? Come on you electrical guys ... where u now ;)
 
more amps is a good thing, not a bad thing, in this context..

i was going to suggest a laptop ac/dc also, as they are mostly 19v at around 3 or 4 amps. will work great.

How come more amps is a good thing ... if something wants 2.6A and it gets 3.6A and its got nothing to do with charging a battery, won't it fry the circuitry. I initially didn't think so until everyone started warning me :P ... but the adapter does say (MAX 70W), which apparently means anything needed up to that amount.

we need a <sigh> emoticon.

amps=ability to supply. it doesnt push the amps into the device, the device draws the amps it needs.

here, you are thirsty, you want 500ml water, you drink from a 2l coke bottle...did you drown??

volts work the other way, so dont try the same with them
 
ok cool ... thanks very much :) help much appreciated. Now I just hope one of the connectors fits :p
 
universal one only can last around 6-12 months, then the pin area will burn again, I know my country's product. the guy told you about amps is correct, 100%.
 
Lol ... thanks. In any case, it worked, but the screen is broken :p ... luckily I got a 1 month warranty on this LCD that I paid R350 for from Eurobyte. Going to take it back tomorrow
