So my trusty Logitech MX620(designed for right hands) is starting to feel a bit iffy
I`d like to buy a new mous

I`m left handed however I use the mouse on the right hand side of the keyboard, perhaps I`d stick to a right handed design.
I`m a palm/fingertip hybrid grip.

Budget is R400,R500 if its really worth it
Wired or Wireless doesn`t bother me unless wired is really short and wireless has crap range.
Weight,who knows...Current mouse has 2 double AAs

oh and my current mouse has 5 buttons,3 buttons and the scroll wheel goes left/right
all buttons are customizable within the OS and for individual applications too

recommendations anyone?

Gigabyte M8000X.

It's a right-handed design mouse, though. I see it's R619 on Takealot. Used to be around R550, perhaps you can find it cheaper elsewhere.

It's a great mouse - great precision and comfort.

It's my personal favourite--I'd replace mine with another if it ever broke.

You could have a look at the CYBORG Rat range. They are very customizable.

razer taipain. a little more than you are willing to spend, if you want wireless there is are only two option from razer but they are over 1k.

I also thought of suggesting this one, but slightly over his budget.

That gigabyte 8000 is R560 at a nearby place.
A Cyborg R.A.T 3 is around R500
I`ve always thought about RAT mice, seems to be a decent option

Taipan :wtf: Thats more than slightly over budget :p
Perhaps If I get extra cash in the meantime I`d stretch to a bit more...

I can personally recommend the Steelseries Sensei RAW. I though it felt and handled fantastically when I reviewed it.

I'm a lefty as well and even though I can get comfortable and find a setup I like, it's a pain in the ass when every single ****ing game developer doesn't give you simple options to switch around the control defaults for a left-handed or right-handed gamer. When I was reviewing the DeathAdder left-handed edition, I spend one bloody hour just getting the key bindings for Crysis 3 comfortable and every other game pulls the same shoddy service to lefties as well.

That looks like a lovely mouse. Is the rubberised better?

Hmm,another thing to look at once my logitech kicks the bucket.
it is pretty irritating redoing the key bindings, strangely for some reason,I can`t tolerate my mouse being to the left of the keyboard.makes for some interesting gameplay :p

doesn`t look as awesome as a R.A.T :D
But definitely something I`d consider.
I`d think the rubberised would last better too,the plastic on mine is starting to peel of sorts :wtf:

Better than the rubberised surfaces of other products I've seen/tested. The RAW's surface was much better than the DeathAdder and the Anansi keyboard.
