Looking for a ladies shoe?

So 3 years ago I also bought a house and then had to learn about pools.

I calculated pool volume and took a water sample to a pool place. They then tell me what I need in what quantity. I do this once a month. Test is free if you buy chemicals from them. They test for more things than what a home kit can do.
I put a pressure gauge on the valve unit. It has a spot for a valve. My pool runs at 10 psi. when it gets to 15 psi I know it’s time to backwash. So no more guessing.
I added a solid safety cover ( I have a 1 year old). The pool stays super clean. Algae can’t grow under the cover. And I loose no water. I have not filled the pool since end of November.
The rain keeps pool full for when I backwash. I also use 70% less chemicals. Really worth it.
Stay away from these miracle pool cleaner chemicals. Use hth or similar.
When I see bad weather or rain I add pack of shock. Brush pool regularly.
Calculate how much water your pump can move. You have to circulate your water volume twice in 24 hours. You can halve the time in winter.

Awesome story Bro
