HI All,

Can anyone assist with your opinions on this, I am looking for a pc\server which i can download all my media onto and then stream it throughout the house. So far i am liking the look of the HP ProLiant MicroServers , does anyone know of anything similar or better, in the R2000 region?

Thanks
Darren

Let me also be a little more specific, I am going to be pluggin this into the ADSL and then accessing it from the following devices..

Ipad, Rikomagic TV dongle, Apple Tv and ps3.

Get an older hp Microserver. No real world performance difference. The new ones are overpriced.

esquire were selling them for 1599 ex vat yesterday, not sure if its still on

Be aware the the HPMS will choke with multiple HD streams if it needs to transcode.
I went down this road a while ago.

Ended up picking up a quad core xeon 3.2Hgz, nobody and 8GB RAM off carbonite and all good now.

If just a single - or maybe 2 depending on quality - you should be fine.
