I'm looking for an excellent naturopathic / integrative medicine practitioner in Cape Town. I'd appreciate your recommendations.

I'm cautious to recommend this sort of thing, as I'm not personally convinced about this field (to put it very mildly), but I do happen to know people in Cape Town who fit the bill, and they are good folks (family friends for decades), and more qualified than many other charlatans masquerading as experts on health in this domain:

Read the title as "I am looking for a quack..."

If you're looking for alternatives rather look for a herbalist that has a proper medical doctorate. Stay away from homeopaths imo

To OP I used this gentleman a few years back & he had some great insight.

Iridologist? Really? Does he also have a crystal ball?

It's like asking a Ford Mustang driver to find the Nurburgring on a map...

Thanks for the recommendations. I'm as skeptical as anyone about some forms of complementary medicine, but I think some of the posters on this thread are misinterpreting what I mean by a naturopathic / integrative doctor when they automatically label this kind of doctor as a quack. I'm no expert but there's a big difference between science-supported natural medicine and 'woo woo' medicine. A lot of natural medicine practitioners can give excellent advice on nutrition, gut health, natural remedies etc. I've learned a lot from YouTube videos of people in the field of natural medicine, for example Dr. Eric Berg, among many others.

Otherwise known as just 'medicine'.
If a so-called remedy has been shown to work then it is just medicine. If it needs to be qualified as naturopathic/complimentary/integrative then you can be sure that you won't gain anything beyond the placebo effect.

It's a brilliant show. I highly recommend it. As does my naturopath, homeopath, isopath, electrohomeopath and naprapath.
