Looking for a specific mouse - your suggestions ?

So my wireless mouse is on the way out, it is a microsoft 1000 i believe.

Looking for something similar in feel but is it possible to get one thats sort of silent ? ie it doesn't make a click noise when i push down on either the left or right buttons.

I'm not talking about the sound that comes from the pc but the clicking noise that comes from the mouse itself, i find it a bit annoying when browsing and would prefer a "silent one"

I think i may have found a solution the logitech T400 mouse is a touch mouse with dedicated area's (left and right buttons)

seems to be exactly what i'm looking for although a bit pricey.

Nice and compact, but he hates it. He says the touch function sometimes doesn't read or it reads a left-click as a right-click.

LOL that thing isnt a mouse! Its like someone wanted to make something worse than the apple touch mouse.
