Looking for ADSL modem

Hi all

Anybody out there selling ADSL modems, and if so at what price? Looking for one urgently in the R300 - R450 bracket (just a modem, no router needed).

The MWEB one is pretty good... not sure what its called. Costs like R350 if you subscribe to mweb like R299. Will report back here when I remember what its called.

Try the Dlink-DSL300T it is a ethernet modem and the price is about R380.
Worked for me.

Not sure if all the modem are ICASA certified - sold in SA, should be

I have bought the Mecer one. Configured as Bridge, used IPCOP to dialin with PPPoE. Works 100%

An ADSL modem is actually a Router. Either go for a simple modem, or fullhouse.
ADSL doesn't modulate / demodulate - it is a media change (Phone line to Ethernet) = Router

If you consider to use wireless in the next few months and need a DHCP server then a ADSL router with wireless is definetely an option to go for.
