I presented a viable idea to the Google sponsor Umbono startup program. Unfortunately i have no technical skills and i'm sure this will be used against me.

To cut the story short, i am looking for android developers who can help with customizing an android build and also develop proprietary programs. PM me for more info.

If are looking for android developers then it is better to search in the internet and look for experienced developers. There are many companies which develop customized app for your android phone. Android phones are popular because of the amazing application that it supports.

It's Java and not even complicated Java. Pretty much any University graduate from one of the better universities that knows what he/she is doing could develop an application.

I've played with it a little and it was ridiculous how easy it is to code a half decent looking app.

What program is development done in?
It's Java (using the Android SDK) so whatever IDE you want. But the Android plug-in distributed by Google targets Eclipse, so that would be the easiest and most up to date option.

The Java is compiled to Dalvik executable byte code which is used by Android Dalvik VM.
