Be aware that it starts slow, the pace will only pick up a bit later in comparison to other 24 episode shows. Seeing as you managed ergo proxy, you should be fine with the pacing. Otherwise as you are only 2 episodes in, you can safely shelve steins gate and come back later. Since you are coming in from finishing psycho-pass, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood or Darker Than Black would have better pacing for you to adjust to.

You do need to clarify on your sci-fi preference, as it is extremely broad in anime terms. Do you prefer Space opera or space based scifi similar to star trek/star wars/battle star galactica, or futuristic technology like psycho pass/star gate/things from avengers films, or giant robots like pacific rim (which is called mecha in anime and is an entire genre on its own, naturally sci-fi aligned), or sci-fi as a plot device like how star gate initially started out. Some of these overlap with each other, but generally speaking are quite distinct.

I somehow started watching Shinsekai Yori
Some weird future dystopian type anime(but not cyber punk like ergo proxy etc) though you would never guess it from the art work.
 
Oh dear here we go again. A live-action Death Note movie is being made by Netflix.

I've also been enjoying the meltdown by racist anime geeks because L is being played by a black guy, nevermind that almost everyone else is white. Lmao I was like lmao.

Show continues right after eclipse following the manga line. CG heavy, but so far its not so bad with tones of blood and metal...

hopefully it just gets better.

The original original is good, better then arc series at some parts whereas the arc is better than the original. Bit like hellsing vs hellsing ultimate :D

Ep1: The CG wasn't a problem at all - was kinda cool.
Just felt the story was a bit messy.
Hope Puck doesn't get more annoying.
Preferred the way Guts' face was drawn previously...looks a bit strange here.
