Naruto and bleach was the shiat

Is Naruto really good? I've heard that name for centuries now but never got around to it.

Anyone remember the name of this series, watched it some years back. It was fairly dark, the female character I think was an assassin.

Naruto is tops. Think of Dragonball Z, it falls into that Shonen genre.
Only issue are the fillers. But since you're getting in so late, and the series is nearly over you shouldn't have an issue with that. Just look up on wikia or something and skip all the fillers. The first run of the show had fillers only way later in, like somewhere around the 128 episode mark. The second run of the show (Naruto Shippuden) has fillers scattered everywhere just like Bleach did.

I prefer watching stuff which is a bit older, once the hype has died down. Myaniemlist is the perfect example, every new anime gets high rating which just seems to be more excitement over something new rather than good.

On that note, what's everyones myanimelist account? I'd like to get a feel of over what people have watched so I can what I've missed. Here's mine:

Yeah that's true. But I also like having go-to anime every week instead of having to do research to find something worth watching when I'm done with a series.

TBH I never really liked naruto but that's just me, Naruto Shippuden (latter half of Naruto) was way better IMO. The only real negatives were the tons of shytty fillers took away from the experience somewhat.

That and Naruto were my main introduction to Anime back at University ... hell, I even created my own Anime Music Videos for the hell of it :) Good times. From what I recall, Naruto was fun yeah.

Thanks guys, I'll give it a read and see where to start from (yes without fillers just a waste of time in my experience)

Sorry meant to get back here earlier, it was Ergo Proxy I was looking for. I love the dark theme of this and also GITS. I have all the GITS on DVD but really wanting to watch this again.

Kind of why I'd like to see other people myanimelist to get a feel of what to watch next. I've been able to add a lot of things to watch next just by looking at people with similar anime interests.

I always get the issue of saying I'm using the wrong torrent client

Check the client whitelist for the accepted torrent client versions: https://bakabt.me/whitelist.php

You can check my profile at https://myanimelist.net/profile/Mystic_Twilight just note that I use my profile as a watch history and don't actively record what I'm watching, otherwise the anime recommendation on MAL can help you: https://myanimelist.net/recommendations.php?t=anime

Is Re:Zero worth the hype?
Up to the point where I watched it captures some elements ("like despair") on a level I haven't really seen very often in animes. I haven't watched the latter half yet but those initial episodes were definitely worth it.
