Hi All,
The other night my pc just stopped working, after recently freezing up constantly. It seems to be either the motherboard or CPU (I'm leaning towards the CPU). After 6 years of loyal service I think my AMD just gave up on me.
Which brings me to my actual point - I am looking for a replacement board/CPU. I dont cash at the moment to buy a new MB/CPU/RAM, so please can anybody let me know if they have an older motherboard and CPU which they would like to sell for a more reasonable price. My old CPU was a AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (2ghz) and a gigabyte k8n-pro motherboard.
I am looking for something is that range (something i can use my 2 x 1gb DDR400 modules with), its a temporary fix while i save up for something decent.
Your help would be much appreciated, btw I am in Pretoria, so anything nearby would be great.
