Looking for DNS hosting (1st prize is free)

Hi Guys,

I am looking for a DNS hosting service for some lab domains that I would like to keep off our usual systems.
There are about 10 coza domains and I don't mind moving to a specific registrar if this is a value add they offer, so long as their renewal fee's are not stupid.

I need to be able to create SRV DNS records though, even if done via support.
Any suggestions?

Also, budget is low for this as the current system is a DNS cluster of 3 lowendbox VPSs running CPanel DNS.

Correct. Our DNS management portal links directly with cPanel although the records are not updated within cPanel itself.
 
Hi Guys, thanks for all the PMs etc.
I have found https://www.cloudns.net/premium/ which is a service that I have used in the past.

Why I opted for them:

- Local providers which offer .com and .co charge slightly too much (I have access to these domains at low prices and transfering to a local provider to qualify for the free DNS doesn't make sense).
- Most local guys use CPanel and plugins to make the chnages happen, they offer the value add of viewing how many queries have been responded to which is nice.
- total cost = $2 per month which is nice.

Free only gives me 3 domains, I have a few more then that.
I was looking to offload the coza domains locally and keep the com's and co's to their registrars but for $2 pm I can dump all domains there.
 
My co.za domains are now all with DomainCheap. My DNS is handled by Amazon's Route53 service. ~$0.50 per domain per month for Route53.

You're probably looking at <$20 a year for 3 lowend hosts. That's seriously not much annually and you've got control.

Alternatively look at people like rage4, cloudflare, etc

For what I need <$20 is too expensive, thats why $2 is perfect.

Hmmmmm their CP is slightly dodge, had an instance where the page would not refresh and the next moment the zone was wiped blank.

Will try them again one day.

Dropped Siteground an email now, waiting to see if they can offer DNS on its own.

FYI, cloudflare can be used as DNS only, you can turn off the CDN function
