looking for gaming case

also look at the Zalman GS1200... amazingly comfy case, but might be slightly over budget... am dreaming of getting one soon...
 
Aerocool XPredator Evil Black Gaming Chassis is a beast for that price. Im thinking about that one but i am also looking at the antec 902 and the Zalman GS1200.
Which do you guys think is better?
 
Then the Predator would be my choice. Followed in close second by the 650D (depending on what it costs, I have no clue). Although CM690ii with a window is also in there (will come in at less than R1300) which will allow you to buy a couple more fans for it as well.

650D is a little on the expensive side, costing roughly R1900
 
do you think the cm 690 is better than the Aerocool XPredator Evil Black Gaming Chassis and can they both hold the HD6950
 
The differences between the two are mostly aesthitic. I suspect the CM690ii will be lighter. It also has dust filters, not sure if the Predator does. And yes both can hold any graphics card
 
3dgamer, trust me, I have just gone through this whole process of finding a new case and the one case that outshone all others was the X-Predator. It is extremely cheap for what you get. Its build quality and features match and even best cases in far higher price brackets. It offers usb3, extremely good cooling, great tool-less setup, fan control etc etc. You can look at that yourself and it does come with dust filters.

Also about the X-Predator being able to fit HD6950s, mine is holding two 6950s just fine. If you want pictures of what it looks like inside and out tell me and Ill upload them tomorrow.

Btw, the CM690ii is an excellent case was one of the contenders to the X-Predator for me right until the end. I found that like the other cases, it was really good but had a small flaw that was a deal breaker (The only thing I have heard that is a problem with X-Predator is that it can't fit a large radiator for water cooling). I can't remember exactly what put me off the CM690ii, but I think it was its lower quality build look and the fact that it is 2+- years old (so no USB 3.0).

The case itself is only about a year and a bit old, but original CM690 is a lot older. It was probably the drive cage. It is not the best and the plastic brackets are cheap and nasty. That or the motherboard backplate hole, which is pretty small and not that well positioned.

That Xpredator 'Evil Black' case is damn fugly, though, like there were two designers fighting each other: "Let's base it on an Armadillo." "No, let's make a Bee-style case." "Armadillo!" "Bee!" etc... Then the guy in charge eventually through his hands up in the air and said, "Okay, okay, we can make an Armadillo Bee case." "Yay!"

Then the engineer who made it, said, "But I wanted an Elephant case," and so made it out of steel.

please Nicko upload some pics of the 2 graphic cards. how much space is there in the case and what are you temperatures in the case

I guess we all entitled to our own opinions. However, I also thought that from the pictures the Evil black looked ugly, but I don't regret my decision one bit, once I saw it in real life.

Just came back from a long day, so if I can summon the energy I'll post them a little later else I'll post them tomorrow morning.

The zalman gs100se is a bit pricey and does not have a window. I like the ancec 900 and and the Aerocool XPredator Evil Black. If i had to choose any case it would be one of those two. i need to know which will be better for space for graphic card and which case will be cooler with 2xhd6950 in it.
