was wondering what you would do with 8 bits of ram...

What will you be doing with such laptop?

I bought this laptop from Computer Mania in Claremont for R8899 - quick, light, slim, 4-5 hours battery life. Runs Battlefield 4 on high settings, but Far Cry 4 has to be on low settings (still looks quite nice).

Although, the one in your link doesn't have a dedicated GPU - mine came with a 940M 2GB. I'll be using mine for about the same purposes as you, just Autodesk rather than Solidworks.
