Looking for Intel Bios Security Jumper Tool

I bought a used Intel NUC8i5BEH kit and I suspect that WiFi and Bluetooth have been disabled in BIOS.

The BIOS is password locked and as far as I can tell the only way to reset the password is to use the BIOS configuration security jumper by switching between pins.

But, while I have located the pins, the yellow tool which is meant to sit atop the pins is not in place.

Does anyone know where I can get one?

That's a normal jumper, nothing special about it. Do you not perhaps have an old IDE HDD lying around somewhere? Those would almost certainly have a jumper or two in it, or maybe even an old motherboard could possibly have one or two in it. You could even just bridge the two pins with a thin piece of copper wire.

Thanks for the suggestion - I don't have a HDD lying around, but I did find an old 3 pin connector from a phone motherboard.

The pins line up, so I guess I could try and keep it in place and connect the pins that way?

This is a bit out of my comfort zone though...

That should work, just ensure that you jump pins 1 and 2.

umm... you really could just use a screwdriver and short the 2 pins ( with the device unplugged from power)

That's how I used to do it. But I think you need to do that while you are powering up the machine to go into reset mode.

Its very simply to make one. You can use copper wire to shot pin 1 and 2 while power on.

Hmm, so I've wrapped a small piece of copper around pin 1 and 2 but it's not having any effect.

If I boot normally then it boots the OS, and if I boot to BIOS then it still asks for a password.
