I am looking for an ISP that can host ONLY my e-mail.
Are there any ISP's that will be able to do that? I do not need all the other stuff.
I am NOT looking to make use of Gmail etc.

You may want to post under "Hosting and cloud computing", but here:

1. http://www.webafrica.co.za/hosting/email/
2. http://www.afrihost.com/site/product/domain_email

...but then you may also look at normal hosting packages because they come with email addresses and you don't have to use the website part if you don't want

1. https://www.hetzner.co.za/ - they host many major company websites (Very reliable and good service in my opinion)
2. https://www.cybersmart.co.za/hosting.cgi - free hosting (you only pay the yearly domain registration fee)
3. https://www.domains.co.za/web-hosting-south-africa - always replied to emails immidiately and have read a lot of good things about them
4. You may consider hosting overseas as they are usually much more reliable compared to local hosting

Thanks for the replies. I am not looking to host a domain.
I only want e-mail boxes - like gmail but not as crappy as gmail

You know you can pay for a business gmail account if you don't like the ads?

btw gmail probably have the best spam filters in the world.

You can check out a small ISP in the Western Cape, called Kingsley Technologies. They do just email hosting if needed on standard pop servers with Spam filters etc :)

It appears as if the conclusion here is that gmail is the best.
So, then maybe someone can help me. And please address the issue.
I use Outlook 2013. I have a Samsung S4.
I managed to setup the Outlook so that the gmail can download.
I used pop settings.
When I have Outlook closed, the mails download on the phone. However, the moment I open Outlook, the mails disappear from the phone.
I want the mails to stay on the phone till I remove it.
I have checked the "Leave copy on the server"
Pop settings has been selected on the gmail account
I have selected "When messages are accessed with POP keep Gmail's copy in the Inbox
Any ideas? Suggestions?

Setup the account as IMAP on both devices. Any changes made on one will reflect on the other.
