Looking for more serious cpu cooling (i7 3770k)

Anyone tried the corsair h70/h80 ?

There doesn't seem to be any fan solution coming close to the above.

I have an H70... works like a bomb on my older hotter chip. What I like about it is it fits internally on the exhaust port of the PC so things stay neat... H100 doesn't fit inside some cases.

If the H100 does fit, then that. If not, then the H80 is superb. You can always change the stcok fans for something with more oomph . Add a fan controller, and you dear sir, are set.

If you're running a 3770k you looking at temps around 70-80 degress at 100 % load at 4.5ghz thats just an example cos thats wat i get with a 3570k at 4.5ghz with an h100

And yes if anyone is considering an H100 please buy some other fans to replace the terrible stock ones . corsair sp series fans should do the trick or some noctua fans would be the best

Idle temps? and load temps?

I Use the Antec H20 920, which is very similar to the Corsair H range (made by the same company). I Idle at +35C in summer and peak just under 60C, also on the 2600k

Same fans as on the H60?
My H60 has no issues keeping up with my 2500k at 4.95GHz.
Got the stock fan on one side and a normal cooler master fan on the other side (push-pull config).

could be the same fans but in relation to the radiator it makes a big difference more fins on the h100 rad so those fans just manage to make some satisfactory air pressure to pull or push air through, however they also are very very noisy at medium to fast speed

I have the same push - pull config with my H60, except I'm using a Vizo starlet UV fan. Keeps my i7 3960x between 32c (idle) & 45C (load)
