Hi there

Looking for a new budget phone. I had a lg G6 that got stolen. Any sugestions. I was looking at the redmi note 10 pro at cellucity for R5K and that's not a bad deal and spec wise but anything else you people can suggest?

I want to stay in the R5K ballpark. I don't really play games but do watch content like youtube and some movies. I was happy with my G6 but the battery was the only thing that I had to replace but never did.
 
Samsung or maybe get something from Experimax.

Iphone 8 or Iphone X or so.

Alternatively look for a Note 8/9/10 from Samsung. Watch out for fakes.

Nah having a look at the redmi note 10 pro vs poco m4 pro for the same price. Like I said the Redmi note 10 pro I can get for R5K. https://cellucity.co.za/shop/uncategorized/xiaomi-redmi-note-10-pro-128gb/ I don't worry about 5g support as I will never use that anyway.

Oh ok. but the redmi note 10 has better screen, I don't care about 5g and being a few months newer says nothing. It's like saying a rtx 3050 is better than 3080 ti as it's newer. I will still have a look at it and do some more research.

Never checked the price. Assumed as this thread is about a R5k or less phone. That it is low budget phone. Don’t get your nickers in a knot, apparently a really good phone for the price point.
 
Look at the Poco X3 pro, I think its R5,500... compare the two in benchmarks (X3 vs M4) youtube will also have side by side tests. These new phones are pretty damn good, excellent screens, refresh rate, weather sealing, battery, fast charge etc.

I wouldn't bother with a second hand iPhone 8, its just too old and will be slow.

Samsung A32 would be a better more modern fit. But you are paying for the name.

Well the difference is the M4 has a better CPU as well, the screen is nice on it redmi. Also not sure on the price of the Note 10 pro, I've bought from Celluarcity this week the advertised price might not be the one you get it for. So double check that

Already asked them and it's indeed the redmi note 10 pro.

look for a xiaomi redmi in the price range of 3k to 4.5k.Best bang for buck ....
