Good day

Hopefully this is the right place to post.
I'm looking for over-ear headphones in the region on R600 or less. What brand and model would you recommend?

Sennheiser without a doubt. Got my first set in the mid 90's, another in-ear set around 2006.
The quality (if your headphone pre-amp is powerful enough) is just shy of orgasmic.
What pair would you recommend?

I honestly can't say because:
  1. Mine is long since discontinued and newer models are out now.
  2. Decent hi-fi stores (stockists of NAD, Marantz etc) also don't exist anymore... I think. These were shops that allowed you to test the products before you buy it!
I'd say just get the pair with the best specs for your buck.
Try not to go below 32 ohms, and go for something with a broad frequency response.

This doesn't look bad for the money:

Review (sort of):

Yeah mostly gaming
Anything with an added microphone will beef up the price tag.

Skull Candy... However... I am biased. I must say, I have had my TI's for well over 9 years. They have been glued together a few times (cosmetic damage) but are still the best pair of headphones i have ever owned. Wonderful clarity and an all round awesome product! (Once again, I am very biased... They are fluffy and pink... So i would most likely forgive them for a multitude of sins :sneaky:)

Any recommendations for BT headphones with aptw/aptxll? Budget is about 2k and to be used for basic listening when SO wants silence and I want tv/game on.
