Depends on the size of the team you need. Check my signature, we do .NET / SQL Server and Java / Oracle. We also do pretty pretty with CSS3 / HTML5. We're currently doing Java dev for one of the large telco's.

We're a small company with few overheads, so we're bound to be cheaper than the bigger industry players. It doesn't mean we deliver inferior quality work though, quite the contrary.

Uhm, depending on your system, especially when you have huge systems, you don't want to go to .Net or Microsoft. yOU'LL find that most huge systems like banking and forex etc where you need fast processing on huge amounts of transactions are Java on Sybase, Oracle etc. ONe of the big banks with system still on Cobol /Mainframe had Microsoft here and they just said they couldn't deal with it.
