Looking for SO-DIMMS

Anyone know who the best supplier to go to (and by best I mean most cost effective) for DDR-266/333/400 Notebook SO-DIMMS? I need a 512~1GB chip for my laptop for the dev course I am on and can't afford R700-R1200 for 1 chip. Or perhaps someone has pillaged an old machine and has something lying around?

So, "most cost effective" == "cheap" is it? - why not just come out and say so? But, smart-arsery aside, have you given correct info: is it really DDR @ 400MHz or DDR2 at 533/667 MHz you want?
