Customer doesn't have $ for the royal suite of windows server+ exchange server - his requirements:

1) sharing calendar on network
2) sharing excel files between transport planners ...1 file - 5 or so users.

I know excel can do document sharing - but is it ok for 5 users at once..

Wat happens if 2 or 3 people edit/work on same cell lets say D5 and saves the info? haven't tried it myself before ,so i am asking people that have :)

thx

I can't recommend anything freeware to help your solution, but I can chime in with my info. At work we had some people always try to edit a Word document at the same time, and there were always locked file issues. It was a pain, and I could never figure out a way around it. These applications were just not designed to have the same file open at the same time by multiple people. I can't say for sure, but I think the file would get corrupted if you had so many people using the same Excel file at once.
