Not Headphones or in-ear phones. Just the standard earphones, something that has good BASS and will last. Will be used with the ZUNE HD since the included earphones sound very "tinny" have poor bass and not very nice sound quality. Not sure how much I should spend?? But any ideas will help...;)

Well, according to this:
"Earbuds are the small headphones that commonly come with portable players. They seat in the concha, the cupped area around the ear canal in the center of your outer ear, and they do not block outside noise. Also see our selection of in ear headphones which are similar to earbuds, but block significant noise and offer a more secure fit. Usually earbuds are very efficient so they can be used directly with iPods and portable players. Many earbuds are inexpensive and are not known for good sound quality, but we've carefully selected some of the best performing earbuds available.
For more information about earbud headphones see our earbud selection guide."

I think earbuds are what I'm looking for...... Guess I'm now totally confused.....

The in-ear type are much better, if you use the correct size rubber "plug" thing you won't even feel that you are wearing them. The sound quality is also much better.

No competition , go with sound magic! After reading head-fi.com (Renowned Audiophile meeting place) for a bit before purchasing my earphones , lots of different earphones came up. I decided with the Sound Magic Pl-21s for R150 on focalprice.com , and they arrived after about 2 weeks . They are amazing!. For R150, they have insane value for money as they come with a heap of accessories like about 10 different pairs of eartips (foam ect..) . These will most likely beat out the Senheiser CX300s and anything that you can get locally for under R1000, seriously. Try them out and for R150 you can't go wrong. Any questions, just ask me.

Natedogg, you have me interested... (I can say something similar for the Grado SR-60 headphones from www.highendaudio.co.za.) Tell me two things, though:

(1) How much is shipping to SA?
(2) How much import duty were you charged?

If those two aren't too expensive, I'm going to look into getting a pair.

Sorry for not replying guys, haven't been to these parts in a while :p .

(1) There are essentially two ways of getting it here to S.A . The first way is free but does take about 7-15 days and the second way does cost $29 but gets it here a bit quicker in 3-6 days. So obviously the first way is a lot better and I got mine in exactly two weeks.
(2) I was charged R40 for customs but sometimes you do get lucky and are not charged at all.

The total price that I payed for these earphones was then around R180 including customs and shipping ect. . Overall , I think these are a steal at <R200 and this makes for some great earphones where you definitely won't wont come close to finding better value for money locally or with any other brand.

Just ordered myself a pair - if they suck I'm blaming you :P I've been meaning to get myself a pair of in-ear phones - thanks for the heads-up :)

Get a pair of Shure SE530's, they are the bollox sound wise.

I have checked the focalprice website last night and there was a black version of Sound Magic PL30 available at $22.5, this morning it's gone (although still show up on the front page but link invalid), only the more expensive silver version left ($24.5 or soemthing). I am really tempted to try and get this.
