Well I moved and lost my remote. Anyone here that maybe has damaged their speakers beyond all repair but still has a working remote?

I'm in JHB and will pretty much drive anywhere. Will consider paying to have it posted if from a reputable forumite.

1. Get the Z5500 remote replaced
2. Get a Logitech universal remote
3. Get another brand universal remote

Probably option 2 is the easiest in terms of getting your hands on it. I guess it boils down to cost and ease.....

:)

Also apparently a Logitech harmony can you used? Need to confirm this, that would be your best bet hey.

Or you could phone DCS, the distributor, and get a new one.

I also asked them how much a new set of Z-5500s would cost and she told me that they don't have stock because they are end of life :(

My current set is 4 years old and the replacements don't have optical input :(

Yip, Logitech have a habit of going cheaper when they bring out replacements. All in the current range are worse than the previous range.

Lol dude. 16:9 is a terrible aspect ratio. When I get my TV it'll most likely be a 46" at least to try offset the letterbox effect.

Strange, haven't heard anyone who upgraded from 16:10 to 32" FHD LCD TV for PC monitor complaining, let alone for gaming/media.

16:10 is dead, you will learn to accept it. Don't worry, we all used to be against it. ;)
