Alien Arena

Powered by version 6.10 of the CRX engine, this game features incredibly smooth and fast game play with next-generation engine features such as shaders, real-time lighting and shadows, lensflares, light bloom and reflective water. The game over thirdy maps, nine weapons (with alt-fire modes), eleven player characters, mutaters, six game play modes, and an in-game server browser. With modes like Team Core Assault, Cattle Prod, Duel, Deathball, Capture the Flag, and All Out Assault, Alien Arena has an endless replayability factor. Version 6.10 includes a number of new maps, new weapon, and major engine enhancements.

Nexuiz
Nexuiz is a 3d deathmatch game project, created online by a team of developers called Alientrap. It is available for download for Windows, Mac, and Linux (all the same archive). The first version was released May 31st 2005, released entirely GPL and free over the net, a first for a project of its kind. Since then it has been downloaded over half a million times, and the game is still being updated and developed, currently at version 2.2 and new releases being developed.

Tremulous
Tremulous is a first person shooter featuring two opposing teams, humans and aliens. Both teams are able to build structures such as spawn points, which are vital to their victory. The goal of Tremulous is to eliminate the opposing team and all of their spawn points.

Each team in Tremulous differs fundamentally from the other. The aliens are class based, with two classes initially available: the alien team’s builder, known as the Granger, and the Dretch, the weakest offensive alien. The aliens are awarded frags for killing their foes which may be used to evolve into stronger classes, capable of greater and more varied maneuvers. In contrast the human team is upgrade based, receiving credits for kills that may be exchanged at an Armoury structure for new weapons, armour and equipment. Two such upgrades are available for free: a ri?e and a construction kit, used for building structures.

During a game of Tremulous, each team occupies one of three stages of development. These stages are reached by accruing more than a speci?c total number of kills by the whole team. Each new stage unlocks new classes, upgrades and buildable structures. If one team reaches a stage signi?cantly earlier than the other team it stands a better chance of defeating the opposing team.

Penumbra
Penumbra is a free, first-person horror adventure game that uses the latest graphics technologies and physics to create an immersive game world. The protagonist finds himself in an underground base searching for his lost father. It's dark, scary, and dangerous.

Penumbra uses our in-house develop 3D engine, featuring the latest graphics and physics technologies. Thanks to these technologies Penumbra is able to immerse players into it's world of horror, unlike anything seen before within the genre.

Dynamic shadows, normal mapping and specular effects creates a dark dynamic visual environment, creating a world of constant change. Motion blur, noise filters and bloom is used to create a world where sanity has no place.

The physics engine, using Newton Game Dynamics [http://newtongamedynamics.com/], allows the player to interact with object in new ways where doors drawers needs to be pulled open and doors barricaded to keep the evil out. Each object creates unique sounds based on surface and force, you can never predict how anything will behave or sound in this world.

In Penumbra the player finds himself in an underground base on Greenland, searching for his lost father. It's an adventure horror game, free from classic first person shooter elements, with an emphasise on puzzle solving and exploring. Constantly on your toes you will never know what to expect, with no weapons how do you protect yourself?
