Hi guys. Hope you can help me.
I'm trying to install a 1 TB Samsung HD103SJ hard drive in a pc.
The motherboard is a Soltek SL-KT600RL and Vt8237 south bridge.
I do have the original cd with drivers and stiffy with sata/raid drivers.
The operating system is XP with SP3.
I have updated the pc to bios ver 1.5
I've downloaded and installed the Via HyperionPro V524A and vRaid 5.9A driver, but every time I connect the 1 TB drive it does not get detected. I've created a partition on the new drive on another pc, but every time i connect it, a "Via Raid controller - 3149" error (exclamation mark) shows up in the device manager.
The client don't want me to run the Samsung software that will force it to run at 1.5Gbps instead of 3gbps. I suspect that the KT600 chipset might not be able to run at 3Gbps.
Help would really be appreciated.
