I'm looking at getting myself a decently priced 24" LCD but Esquire only sells up to 21" so that is a no go for me.

Where else can I find well priced 24" LCD's?

I take it you can't afford R2,000+ (Samsung 24" is about R2,300 after the fscking 30% tax increase). So basically no where. Unless Game/Makro have a special soon.

R3k for a 24"... are they fekking mad?

I'm running 23's they I bought for R1600 brand spanking new like a year and a half ago

Yeah, i refuse to get another monitor until the prices for 24" plus drops to below R1500. And even at R1500 it's overpriced!

Thanks for the info, but at over R2k it is just ridiculous.

Seems like I'll have to stick to 21" then.
:(

I bought a 23" Samsung monitor for R1600 precisely a year ago. Now the same monitor costs R2,256. Lucky me!

This price increase has to do with that tax law right? Wasn't there an article about how they found a legal way to work around it? What happened with that?

Anyway, I'm glad I bought my screens when I did. The most I paid was R1700 for a 23" screen, but that was from a retail store!

I bought mine from takealot.com brand new for R1399. I'm sure it's still prices the same. Go search around on their site!
