Hi all

I am in need of some assistance.

The company I work for sold one of it's vehicles to an employee recently. The vehicle is owned but the registration certificate has been lost some time ago.

I need to apply for a duplicate registration certificate. Now the issue I have is the proxy is the boss who will in no way or form go stand at the licensing department to apply for the certificate.

So I have two questions:

1. Can I go do the application on behalf of my boss with an authorisation letter? My guess is I cannot as the gov website says the proxy MUST go in person.

2. How do I go about changing the company proxy and what documentation is required?

Any and all help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had the same with a company vehicle I sold a few months back. Also had to get a copy of registration papers.

Process is the same as if you requesting on behalf of a owner. Letter from Proxy giving you permission and a copy of their ID.

Not sure if it has changed recently.
