Lost my ebooks.

I bought some free books from the iBooks app on my iPad and later when I synced the iPad to the PC I lost them. Can anyone help me out on how to fix it. It's still there in my iTunes folder. It's strange that I didn't lose the books I didn't buy from them.

Yes. It's set to automatically sync all ebooks.

Alternative: On your device, go to the iBooks app, click on Store, the Store app will cme to the front, at the bottom, click on the last icon 'Purchased'. All the books you have purchased, even the free ones will be listed, just redownlowd them

I'd start by updating both iTunes and iOS. Your versions are seriously behind the current ones.

Unless you have an American Apple ID, the free books we can download in iBooks here in South Africa are mostly out-of-copyright classics. Rather get them in EPUB format from Project Gutenberg, then drag them onto iTunes. Sync the iPad and you're done, with a backup copy on the PC.
