So this morning I had to take my car in for a a service and a few weeks ago I took the service book out to check something. Now I have been searching everywhere and I cant find it. The guy at the dealer said I can bring it in to stamp it at a later. Now what if I cant find it? What will my options be?

Well all your services are on computer so I would not worry to much. I suppose you could always get another book.

I bought a Fiesta with a missing service book. Bought a replacement from the parts department for R75. The dealer looked up the VIN on the computer and was able to fill in the book.

Thanks will pop by dealer again today and find out about a replacement

Also lost my service book for a while. Eventually checked my mechanic who did the last service and he found it. He forgot to put it back in the car. Was a relief as the car was way out of service plan and many of the services where done by myself or private mechanics. Would have been a nightmare to try complete a new one.

would I be able to get a service book the same way for my kia?
the dealer says they can see the 15000KM service but none after that.

would my warren-tee still take effect if I get the book again?

Yes you should be able to get a new book or at least a printout of your service history.

No, a new book does not entitle you to an extended warranty. Your warranty is what it was when you purchased the vehicle.

You can buy a new book and they stamp it for you, but the last time VW quoted R400 or so for the book. This is the same place that charges R170 for anti-freeze
