hey Guys

I decided to give Lotro another try they have had two expansions out and the game is about 2 years old so I wanted to see if my experience would be different this time

I downloaded the US client by mistake but I thought oh well let me give it a try anyway

I am having a very funny issue though and I was wondering if anyone could offer some advice

I run Lotro on a Windows 7 64 bit the machine spec is an Intel Core 2 duo E7400 with 4 gigs memory with an ATI 2400 HD GPU and it runs ok the graphics are not to good because of the card but its not the machine I usually use for gaming so its not an issue I just wanted to see what it was like the latency is 275 which is also good.

Now I try it on my home machine its a Windows 7 64 bit Intel Core 2 Duo 2.44 Ghz with 4 gigs memory it has a Nvidia 8800 GTS
The Game looks really good but I get hectic lag I press the run key and the toon does not even move then all of a sudden everything updates and we start moving for a few seconds then everything stops again really unplayable stuff

My connection is fine wow plays perfectly no problem for 300ms latency and no lag

Does anyone know what could be causing this

Hi

I also play on the US servers. My PC is an ancient relic compared to the one you use.
I do get some load times but it has more to do with my 1GB ram on my PC and it doesn't last to long.

21 st Hall is a problem for my old PC and takes the longest to load.
Everywhere else goes smoothly.

Maybe its got something to do with you graphic drivers?

It was strange it all points to a connectivity issue but there is nothing wrong with the connection will maybe try another ISP and see if it gets better

I mean it took me almost 20 seconds to be able to walk to the first NPC quest giver I was pressing W and nothing was happening then all of a sudden it started working then stopped again it took almost 30 seconds to accept the first quest and you can imagine how long it took to loot the weapons off the first guy lying on the floor.

It was totally unplayable

Resolved

I was messing around with this one for a while and after a lot of testing here is the issue

I have a Netgear DG834G V4 ADSl modem I was running firmware ver 5.03.14 when I downgraded the firmware to ver 5.01.09 all started working perfectly again
This is very strange but its sorted now thats what counts
