Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone still plays LOTRO on the Evernight server. Last year, I stopped my account after reaching level 10 because I found the game boring and meaningless(delivering pies in Hobbiton). However, two weeks ago I had an uncontrollable urge to pick the game up again and download the 3gigs of patches(ugghh) but I am so glad I did. I've been addictively leveling my minstrel and can't stop playing. I feel sorry for those of you who stopped before reaching the level 12 threshold when you start instancing and doing the epic storyline quests. This game is the definition of immersive, it sucks you into Tolkien's world. The lore is so well translated into the game environment, as an earlier forumite said.

I stopped playing WoW about 2 months ago in which I had a tier 6 resto shaman. I just hope the PvE aspect of LOTRO endgame is as good as the earlier content. Has anyone here had thorough experience with the endgame PvE content? I would really like to know more about this

I stopped LotRO because it just failed to captivate me. It seemed very WoW-ish. There was nothing it offered that WoW didn't, though I don't play that either anymore.

I may try it again, but I'm a little scared of the patch downloading! I have version 1.5 and the latest is 1.7...

EDIT: Over 1gigs of updates. I don't think that's going to happen sadly.

I stopped after getting 3 characters to 50 and realising that starting a fourth would just drive me insane. It was fun and spectacularly jaw dropping in graphics but the character progression when hitting 50 is all about raiding.... need I say more.

For us I guess...people with competent phone companies on the other hand enjoy patch day!
