Hi Guys

Pls if someone is playing this, could you advise me if the issues on the game has been resolved ?
Is it still in BETA ?

If all the above is working and the problems sorted I might give it a go.

If you are talking about Lord of the Rings Online, well, its been out of beta for around a year now and had various free expansions.

Do not know which of the "above" you are talking about?

Dunno. I was playing already more than a month ago and there were no really significant issues.

The game Rox,it kicks Wow Immature ass back into Nursery School,Its beautiful,Questing is fun and the classes are balanced!

Now go buy it and join us On Evernight!!

All my friends that have left wow, to go play LOtR, are now back playing wow :p It seems to be still lacking endgame content...

I left wow (timecard expired), tried LOTRO, didnt enjoy it... its very pretty, odd combat system tho, got lost in the shire trying to get to Bree (yeah i thought u had to run there >.>)

got back onto wow the next day :p

i did not play WoW ... but really like LOTRO ... very pretty if u got the hardware ... good engine ... i likes ... and im not a RPG fan ... im a FPS dude

Its no use trying the game if your heart is still else where, there is a bit of lacking in the end game content thats true, its still pretty new.

In all respects it is similar to WoW in many ways, but always has its unique touches here and there, its quests are an area that shines. They are quite entertaining and the mainline epic quests are what keeps you going. Its especially a sweet spot for Tolkien Fans and even for non-fans the Middle Earth Driven Story is line entertaining at the least.

I'm only lvl 31 now and the rate of exploration is boundless,I hit a new area so often and its massive with an abundance of quests,I can't really speak for endgame content but lvling is much more fun than WoW.

Although WoW is fully matured in respects to end game,Blizzard have managed to create such a "Time Sink" Game its absolutely ridiculous for reasonable, balanced everyday people to play or compete,I can understand that it is a lucrative business model for them to have people spend so much time in a game, but its unreasonable I'm afraid.

I don't know what kind of Time sink LOTRO will require endgame but I'm here to find out, this game seems less time consuming which is appealing to me.

Having 2 lvl 50 (max level) characters and having played full raid WoW, I can safely say that LOTRO is far more fun than WoW ever was. The game play, questing and grouping is far less like work and far more like fun. Yes there are end game raids for amazing items, 24 is the max. The latest free expansion introduced a small 12 man raid instance which requires on the fly thinking.

Here is a comparison: to do the top end raid instances in WoW you needed to farm for mats for specific potions, you needed to farm for items/mats for special gear to survive.

In LOTRO the top end raid instances require potions you buy at a vendor for very cheap.

There is reputation grinding in LOTRO but you dont NEED to do it, you can if you want, the items gains are not hugely better.

I also find that skill is far more important than the best gear in the game, by far.

As has been posted already, the questing is amazing, the stories in depth and the game is just FULL of LOTR lore.

An amazing game.

Curiously, data useage comparible to say WOW around 7mb +- an hour.
This would obviously fluctuate dependant on area, player count etc.

How ever I wouldnt bother getting it if its a complete data hog.

This may also be a ridiculous question, how ever if one compares GW to WOW it becomes apparent not all mmorpgs consume equivolent Mb's.

im selling a Lotro account for R150. ill even through in the original box and evrythng :)

If you've played wow extensively at level 70 and experienced Raids etc then LOTRO is not for you.
I decided to try it out and while it was nice it just wasn't nearly as good.
