Is there anybody who can help me with a download link for Lotus 123? I am at work at the moment, and Websense does not allow a lot of freedom for searching. I am quite sure that it will be classified as legacy software!

Seems you have to buy it...

It should be freeware by now. A few years ago I got hold of it for free on a PCFormat CD. I just cannot find this disc at the moment. I want to try and get this for a colleague.

Yeh - last copy I bought for my dad was about 5 years ago, and it was R49.

I did not think that people still use lotus 123 (and WYSIWYG). What you using it for and can Excel not do it better? Was one of the original users of lotus 123 and wysiwyg was a great step forward. Then later years when we could have multiple work sessions (different applications) open on one computer, man that was great. Learning to write macros manually in 123 was a great tool for future use, even in Excel. Then we had to code and install the printers manually as well. Not many kids will even know what I am talking about?? :)

This person that I am trying to source it for has been using it on his 16 year old 286 PC. This was struck by lightning last week, so he had to replace his computer. He is not very keen to go to Excel if he can avoid it.

tell him to get with the times...he is getting a new computer now, now it the time he can mod his ark as well.

Maybe his pc was meant to be struck by lightning. But if i were u i would chuck it away whether it was working or not.

LOL...

Customer: Help me find Lotus 1-2-3, I need it. I'll pay you.
Techie: You should get with the times. Use Excel. (in other words F-YOU)
Customer: Fine, I'll go somewhere else.

Nice.

You can find abandonware here:

Thanks to all that was willing to help. I have found the my disk with Lotus Smartsuite 97 on it. It was free on a cover CD for a British computer magazine, Computer Shopper (Issue 135, May 1999).
