:mad:I'm currently on Mweb 2 Mbps uncapped package and not throttled (according to them) but this is my speed today, so slow I can't watch or do bugger all. I'm switching to 4 Mbps TI uncapped on Saturday and don't know whether it a case of "frying pan to fire".

I have been having crappy speeds for the past 2 weeks - virtually unusable internet. I got Telkom to recreate the ports, etc. with no improvement. Complained to MWEB (I have a 4Mb premium line - unthrottled). Got a case number (CAS-2352776-0TTDST) but no feedback. However I did get marginal improvement. The internet was at least usable, but still very slow. This morning I remembered that I had an Afrihost account and decided to do a test. Same ADSL line, everything else the same, only difference is the ISP - tested a few minutes apart.

The problem is definitely on the MWEB side. MWEB is clearly not delivering what I am paying for, and if they cannot sort it out, I will be forced to cancel my subscription and move to another ISP.

Hi pedruid

Please see the PM I sent you.

I also have some lousy speeds today, with some very high latency & packet loss somewhere between the ADSL and the Mweb IPC.

Hi NCS

Please let me know to which email address you sent the mail, as I would like to look into why you didn't receive any feedback yet.

Also, PM me the MWEB email address or username so that I can look into why you speeds are slow.

Hi francoistk

With this results, it points more towards a congested exchange. The 2nd hop of the results is very high, this is an indication that it could be possible congestion.

It was working perfectly fine yesterday, so unless an exchange can become congested overnight I doubt the issue is with the exchange. It might be, but I had no such issues yesterday.

Have you tried restarting your router? Turn it off for a few minutes and turn it back on and see if that helps.

Yes I did and have PM'd you with the results.

Thanks for the feedback, these results seem better.

Let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with ;)

That's disappointing. I'm with Afrihost and my experience is exactly the same as your MWEB experience.
I am going to try a new ISP to see if I can sort out my issues.

Those speeds looks good for a 2Mb account.

It seems as there are speed spikes on the line as your line is 4Mb line with Telkom
