My Nvidia GTX 560 Ti just packed in. It has been 6 years so not entirely unexpected with how many hours it has run for, but now I need to find a replacement, and quick. I am in the UK, so not looking for actual deals/offers in SA. But for advice as to which cards might be a suitable replacement.

I need to sit on the low end of the budget spectrum. But get a card that is equal to or better than the 560 Ti. I am hoping that after so many years, almost all cards would be better, but the 560 Ti was a decent one.

It will be paired with the Intel Core i5 2500k Processor.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I would say similar card is the 1050Ti, it's also cheap new. Or look at second hand cards.

What is your budget?
What do you use the gpu for?

Look at a 1050ti for starters.

Ah damn, So I use the GPU for gaming.

But now I have a new problem. I was trying to make sure it is actually my GPU that is causing the issues. By taking the GPU out and switching to onboard graphics, then pottering around a bit and shutting down and switching back. Now I think I have finally determined that it must be my GPU, (There is no physical signs on the GPU itself, fans all run, lights all light up as normal etc.) but now my damn onboard network adapter has stopped working.

It has a solid Orange light on the one LED that does not change at all whether there is a cable in or not. The same cable still works in my laptop.

So now that the onboard network adapter seems to have gone too, I am wondering whether the whole machine is starting to go. The last thing I want to do is have my motherboard go too, just after I get a new GPU.

Am I being paranoid here? I honestly don't have the money for a whole new setup right now. Motherboard, GPU, CPU.
