Hi,

ERP & e-commerce system enquiry....

My sister company is a 'brick & mortar' retail store in the automotive parts industry with a few hundred stock items, a couple of salespeople, a couple of admin people and a couple of storemen. They currently use 'Palladium Accounting' as their accounting, inventory and point of sale system. Now they want to add an online store to their existing WordPress website. They've asked me to assess how best to do this cost effectively, but I'm no ERP expert. Palladium and/or WordPress can be changed...

Although Palladium have launched an e-commerce module (at extra cost), the sister company management are only luke warm on continuing with Palladium as it's considered expensive (more pertinently, the cost of any support, or additional functionality, is apparently inhibitive).

Certain of their stock items are considered fast moving within their trade so inventory accuracy & live syncing between physical and online stores is paramount. There's no server in place - only user work stations.

They're very cost sensitive. Can someone here perhaps suggest an all-in-one ERP & E-Commerce system that is cloud based/hosted remotely, reasonably priced and allows for live 2-way syncing? (Cloud based/hosted remotely is ideal but not a deal breaker).

Thanks in advance.

Depending on the size of the company and the complexity of transactions, use Xero and integrate with one of the apps recommended.

The initial inventory set up may be tedious.

Xero

Airsquare

Other PoS apps

Everything is cloud based. Not 100% on if airsquare will meet your needs.

Just a recommendation.

Edit: Unsure of Xero will meet your ERP requirements, but hey.

Thanks! I'll have a look through those links in the morning.

@Novoca1ne

Thanks again for your input. The name Xero arose from a demo of another system a couple of weeks ago (that could purportedly run hand in hand with Xero). This prompted the requirement for a Xero demo. But we've been unable to find a representative/reseller. Have you perhaps got a contact that we can discuss Xero with?
