Low cost accomodation suggestions (CT)

My wife and I employ a domestic/child carer, who wants to move up to better accomodation. Between her husband and her, they can afford +/- R7500 and they are looking for two or three bedrooms. The areas they would prefer are the low middle class areas reasonably close to Cape Town CBD and public transport (current commute for the husband is around 2 to 3 hours one way) so areas like Maitland, Ndebene, Kensington, Brooklyn, Salt River etc.

I can obviously suggest searching Gumtree, but the bigger property websites (eg privateproperty.co.za, property 24.co.za) are not really aimed at the bottom end of the middle class.

Does anyone have suggestions for an agent or a decent property listing site in these sort of areas and price range?

Try a facebook group called "Apartments, flats and houses for rent" or something like that, you should be able to find something decent.
