Greetings to everyone. Which service provider can allow me to reach latency under 120ms in Johannesburg South Africa??
I would appreciate everyone's contribution who are experiencing low latency. thank you

That's not currently possible, unless someone someday lays a cable across Africa.

The best you can get atm is about 160ms.

Can't increase the speed of light...

But yeah, shortest distance between two points = lower latency. All SA based ISP's are using the infrastructure available to them. Not sure how up to date this is, but shows you the average distance every ISP in SA has to cover.

Technically you can in this case. The speed of light in a fiber optic cable is around 200 000 km/s, while it's 300 000 km/s in a vacuum.
In any case, that's only half the problem. At 200 000 km/s, it only takes light 75ms to travel 15 000 km, which is about the lengths of the WACS cable.
The networking hardware is also adding latency.

Not possible you should rather try middle east or south east asia if you want ~120ms or India if you want 130ms from JHB
