I have the Nvidia GT 210 and it struggles badly to play a game like Bad Company 2.
What would you recommend to replace it?
All I can find on the Esquire site is the GT 610 but doesnt look that much better.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Physical space and power supply are going to be limiting factors.

Or you could look out for a low profile 750ti which is quite adequate for 1080p on high/medium settings.

HD7750 works on the microservers and is quiet happy with the psu limited supply. As to what games it plays I don't know.

I've been running a Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 5450 for a few months now without issue. Comes with a low profile bracket.

Takealot is out of stock but here's the link: http://www.takealot.com/computers/s...pci-express-gddr3-64-bit-graphics-ca,30097044

That is exactly the card I want. Thus far it looks like I will need to import it, and even then the overseas companies don't have stock :(
I want this beast now!

Indeed... but what of its power requirements ? Would the micro-server be able to supply what is required ?

Power won't be a problem. The non-OC versions use power only from the pci-express slot. This card is super low on it's power requirements, in fact it is perfect for a gaming card on a PSU without the required connectors for other gaming cards!

Not only that, it is the fastest low-profile card currently out there that I could find myself, other than a very specific custom made AMD/ATI card that I wouldn't even know where to buy it even if I was in the US.

I would reckon that the poor HP Microserver's CPU would be the bottleneck long before any of these low profile graphics cards would max out! I hope you have a N40L or newer Microserver, because my N36L's CPU is darn slow!

I have the N40L microserver with a Radeon HD5450. Really only needed to get a picture and sound out via HDMI. It's barely any more powerful than the onboard GPU! Probably slower than the Nvidia GT210 for gaming that the OP struggles with. Reckon waiting for a low profile 750ti is the only option for HD gaming. Even then, only older games, as the CPU is a slow laptop one.

Never thought anyone would use their microserver for gaming :D But this machine has so many uses it does not surprise me really.

The later microserver (nl54) comes with a powersupply of only 150w, I think. Honestly, I would only go up to say HD6450 which will probably compliment the cpu speed.
