We have recently bought a Samsung MU7000 series TV and want to link it to our Bluetooth Amp+Speaker set.
The only audio outputs is either an optical port or HDMI (Arc). All the RCA ports are for inputs.
I tried using a Toslink Cable -> Optical to Digital RCA converter -> Bluetooth transmitter -> Bluetooth Receiver -> Amp.
The sounds goes through but the volume is quite low, even with the Amp set to max volume. It is even lower than the TV's normal speakers.
Equipment used:
Amp: Logitech Z4
Bluetooth transmitter: Avantree Priva II
Bluetooth receiver: Logitech Bluetooth
Digital to Analog converter: Raz tech
TV: Samsung MU7000
If I play music from my phone through the Logitech bluetooth receiver and amp the volume can get very high. When I play movies/youtube/netflix on the TV the volume is very low. As soon as I switch to the internal TV speakers then the volume can go higher. What is wrong with this setup that is keeping the sound low with the TV using optical audio to Bluetooth?
Perhaps as a follow-up question, is this the best way to do it (with a +-R1000 budget) and without having to buy a new speaker set?
Thanks
