Hi Folks,
Do any of you know about the real effects of lowering a bike? There is so much on the web, but it is so contradictory it is wrecking my head!
Any real world experience with lowering kits, suspensions etc would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Linda

You will hardly find a lowering kit for 6 rand dude...

... but to answer your question seriously, I have never heard of anyone lowering his bike for other reason than it being to high for someones body height. other than that it will most likely NOT improve the handling, vice versa. I really don't recommend lowering your R6 other than for adjusting the seat height. If you can reach the ground comfortably don't bother about it anymore. you will not improve your awesome R6 ride. am I repeating myself? I can't say it often enough ;-)

If you want to lower it because it is too high for you to reach the ground safely I highly recommend to rather trim the seat. If you still want to lower it then drop the front the same as the rear as you don't want to mess around with the geometry. but take care of pot holes as it will bottom out easier.
