Lowest basic contract

Does anyone know what is the lowest package that Vodacom has just to keep my sim connected? I have a few Vodacom sims on prepaid and when you don't use them for 90 days, the number gets recycled. I want to avoid that.

MTN has a package called MTN zero.
Looking for something similar.

That is not a viable solution.

Use it or lose it – SIM card and data rules in South Africa

If you don’t use a SIM or load it with airtime every few months, it could be recycled.

you may be better off doing an airtime top up from your banking app once every month or two instead.

Having a number on contract does not guarantee it will remain yours.

Have had a Vodacom prepaid sim since 2012 - and I never use mobile data, never make calls other than WhatsApp and hardly ever recharge!

Yes, but via my home internet wi-fi - never mobile data.

Vodacom Flexi Zero. It's a month to month sim only R18 per month comes with a 1GB WhatsApp ticket.

I moved to this like 5 months before Black Friday so I could get a deal on BF.

My sister lost her life long number when her ex said it is now his and because it was registered on a contract when they were married vodacom said there is nothing they can do.

Ahh... sorry, I skimmed the articles and saw the 180 days number. Though after going back I guess it is 180 days AFTER the contract term has ended.

Yikes, this Flexi Zero is only applicable when you are cancelling a contract.
Not available from prepaid to contract.
