What's up with that?

Why pay an extra month of higher fees? especially when most contracts are month-to-month?

You want loyalty? Buy a dog!

No more contracts!!!

/hopefully the ISPs are also getting the message...

loyalty only extends so far. But a lot of it has to do with trust. If you trust the people you are with because of good experiences, it counts for a lot.

But I'm always willing to try new things. :D

My TI Closer 5 contract has expired and I'm on month-to-month. I'm waiting for the real big ISPs to join the fray before I commit to an ISP for uncapped.

I have loyalty to my own pocket. Whoever provides me with the best deal gets my cash. The company would have provide super side benifits for me to even consider someone offering a higher priced product.

Warnings from the ISPs to heavy users that they are deemed to be abusing bandwidth and will in future be limited to a certain level of Gb's.

you seem to be answering a question i wasn't asking.

say i started this mweb service on the 19th. say by the 30th they deem i am an abuser.

1. they say they are cutting me off. so i do not pay april. i apply to axxess who are happy with my habits.
2. no warning. warning in april. at worst cancel at the end of may. maybe i do 100GB for 2 months instead of 350GB on axxess. but i can recover the lost pull on axxess.

i really see little downside to signing on, using the service and after a month seeing a better deal or deciding that the service is weak.

either way, i save R250 next month and can change to a better thing if there is one after that. i'm just really perplexed at this feeling that people have of loyalty when moving from one to another is so easy.

moggie, you're waiting for "the really big ISPs" to join the fray? As opposed to Mweb? What exactly constitutes a "really big ISP" then?

why commit when there are month-to-month contracts available? i'll be moving from ISP to ISP until this whole thing settles. in the meanwhile if mweb will have my usage patterns i will save close to R500pm.

and i'll continue to move to the lower priced ISP as prices move lower.

I change ISP's as often as my underpants, if you can give me a better deal i'm there.

You live a suitcase life, prepare to move again in the coming weeks. Sometimes the lowest price is'nt the optionl, take screamer for instance when they started with uncapped. I say I am giving my ISP a chance to see what they come up with before I jump ship.

or you can just stay with the same reliable ISP and avoid all that hassle in the first place. :)

I'll wait till the Guinea Pigs have thoroughly tested the product first thanks.
