Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone can give me some pointers as I am struggling to find out what i'd like to know.
I can wander around my property scanning different cells and note the variations in signal etc. What I can't seem to find is which pci is related to which provider and on which frequency band they are actually transmitting. I know the physical cell identifiers (pci's) are not unique as they only have 500(approx)numbers available so will be reused around the country. What I am trying to find out is which of the providers has most consistent signal and where is the optimum position for an antenna. Without buying all the sims and testing does anyone know which provider matches which pci? Am I barking up the wrong tree? I hope I'm explaining myself properly. I'm using an app called LTE discovery to provide me with the data for comparison. Does anyone know of a better app or perhaps can provide me with a better method to make my comparison and from there the best provider in my location. I'd be grateful for any input.
