LTE Deadspots

Hi Guys

On the Vodacom coverage map. There are certain areas that do not have LTE coverage (Deadspots) but 3G coverage is available.
E.g LTE&3G Coverage is available at my house but next door the neighbour would only get 3G coverage as indicated on the VC coverage map.
Why is that?

Do some reading on how radio signals travel, the map shows deadspot but it might not be as map is based on possible strongest signals from surrounding towers allowing for obstructions between them
